Are women who stay with a guy for bills/insurance/etc no different than a prostiute?

If a woman stays with a guy because he pays her bills/insurance/buys her stuff even though she doesn't love him, is that any different than a prostitute? A "friend" got angry with me when I agreed with her ex-husband about the prostitute remark. She tried to explain it off as doing what's right for her and her son as she can't afford to live on her own but I told her that's BS as she's taking his stuff/money and it's not a real relationship. What says the OT?

Yup. I have respect for the prostitute for keeping it real.

Sorry your wife is staying with your ugly arse just so you can pay her bills/insurance. Meanwhile, Romeo is creaming her up every day while you're at work

It's why I always paid on the first date, not a popular opinion, but if I am going to have sex, it isn't because he paid in some fashion. I agree with you.

Any chick who is in a relationship for money.
She's just a "committed prostitute"

It’s similar to prostitution, I guess. But presumably the woman provides additional benefits other than strictly sex (help around the house, companionship - even if platonic, etc.)
Prostitution should be legal anyway.

I don’t think it’s as bad.
It’s not like she’s fricking random strangers all the time for cash.

No man, I'm divorced. My story is known by the older members. The chick I'm referring to is another, crazier one...

So you never had sex on the first date?

It’s not the same thing as a prostitute. Prostitutes are cheaper.

She clearly said she paid so if they have sex, she wasn't paid for it.
That insinuates she definitely fricks on the first date.

You also don't just pay prostitutes for sex, you pay them to leave afterwards.

Did you pay if you were, or weren't going to do the deed? Also, when he was paying, did you know in advance that you were going to do doggy and reverse cowgirl, therefore, the lobster must be ordered?
Just kidding, I already know the answers but they were good questions. I hope you didn't find them too taxing.

They are worse. At least prostitutes leave you the frick alone when they aren't taking your money.
