Are we ever going to bring a wooly mammoth to life?

I presume it would have to be an elephant hybrid. I think we should go all out to do this. And then try for a dinosaur.
You can’t tell me we won’t be able to do this within 50 years.

You know it would be badass. An amazing feat of science.

I watched a show recently where they took DNA from a tusk burried in mud/ice and found over 1500 DNA bases. They need a lot more, but I agree I think they will find enough to make one. Question is do we really want to offset the current ecosystem???

It would be cool. Tasmanian tigers, too.

Well that is my daughter's goal in life. I hear it very often how Jurassic Park is her dream.
They already cloned animals such as sheep, so I'm sure it will happen sooner than later.

Fun fact: Wooly mammoths were still roaming the Earth when the Egyptian pyramids were being built.

This is a fantastic thread to see if the “your mom” ban on TD is real or not.

Damn Chinese would just kill it off again for "medicinal" purposes.

So? They can fill in the gaps with frog DNA.

I saw a show a few years ago where they took blood from fossilized mosquitoes to produce big lizards. It was fascinating

They're already back to life. I see them at the grocery store riding around in fatso electric carts with their azz hanging over each side by about a foot.
