Of course

My dad had two Carolina skiffs growing up and he pulled them with a 96 4cyl S10

I pull a 21ft Carolina Skiff with a 4 banger Jeep Wrangler easily.

Stopping on the other hand, is another matter all together.

the boat is 19ft bay boat, you can tell its back there when i pull it with my v8 4runner

You’ll need a v8. Those model v6 were pieces of shite

Just remember to install a cool air intake and throttle body spacer.

i can get a v6 truck for $4k but the same mileage and age truck with a v8 is $10k
im not sure you want to buy a $10k truck, you surely don’t want a truck that someone is selling for $4k

Don't know about the new ones, but my old Dodge Dakota Magnum V6 could pull a pine tree up out of the ground if I so desired. It was a beast.

What's the weight of the boat when fully loaded?

Suggest you add some Firestone Coil Helper air bags, made a world of difference on my V6 TR4 on “feeling” the boat. Mine is a 22’ with an F-250 so I’m prob pulling 1K more lbs than you.

Yes, a V6 truck can pull the boat. But V6 trucks suck so get the V8 (or an ecoboost V6).

I had a V6 1999 F150 and it was a total slug. But people nowadays are excessive. In the old days, before Urban Cowboy, trucks were for hicks and people would pull boats with cars and station wagons. You really don’t need 400hp to pull a 3000lb boat.

I have a 2016 Silverado with a V6. I pull my BIL 29 ft bay boat just fine. Newer V6s are light years ahead of what they were 20 years ago.

The only way to “tell it’s not back there” is a diesel.

You can’t afford a boat if you can’t afford a diesel to pull it with.

The baw argument:

Honey I gotta have me an F250 to pull my 19' bay boat a few times a year. Nevermind it and the trailer weighs ~3500 fueled and loaded with tackle.

My PawPaw pulled a 19' Sabre Hull with Mercury Grand Marquis for 20 years. You'll be fine.
