It’s a lazy arse way to do trick or treat because fatass parents don’t want to walk the neighborhood with their kids

The parents who do trunk or treat need to lift, do bjj, and work on their cardio

younger kids can have the trick or treat experience without walking 2 miles. Try doing that with a 2 or 3 year old kid.

You asked if these events are for poor people who don't love their children. Sounds like you're retarded to me.

Why not find a nice neighborhood for your child to trick-or-treat in on Halloween?

How about you stop driving five miles to my nice neighborhood to get the good candy?

Yeah Baw, not sure why you feel the need to be an arse but my church puts on a big trunk or treat event every year & it’s open to the community. It’s a great time for the local kids.

Yote, sometimes you cross the line, and as an ePal I am reaching out like when a real pal tells you that you have spinach in your teeth when all others that whole day never mention it.

Think of me as "the Great Pumpkin" from Charlie Brown when it comes to a hoard of free candy for several hoods in my area. It is about the kids, and as you have some of your own, quit being the dude who rags on making little kids smile.

While they may not be going door to door it is a positive experience for the kids and adults involved. Leave it at that unless in the future you drop some heavy candy loads on the hoods around you.

yeah. Drop another thousand off in my neighborhood. We will increase police from three patrol cars to 5.

We live in ranch country. The church or school events are really the only option unless we want to do a carseat routine with two kids every time we drive 5 minutes between neighbors that aren't even expecting trick-or-treaters. No thanks.

I'll take the "poor" trunk-or-treats that are basically small festivals over my daughters complaining about constantly getting in and out of the car.

Problem is you guys are too young to remember IKE era "Trick or Treat" when it was a massive block party event where one parent walked with the kid and the other parent stayed home at passed out candy to the neighbor kids. To make it a fun event, there was booze for the parents along with the candy as you went door to door. Aside from all the older people smoking like the sisters on "The Simpsons", which would have been more toxic on the kids lungs, it was awesome.

Of course back then the kids got the hard chocolate cigarettes and the hard white candy cigarettes (think the hearts with messages on them) in the hand out for the kids. Looking back, probably Big Tobacco was involved to hook the kids early. The candy came in "packs" and the containers looked like the real thing the adults bought. This image brings back warm Halloween memories to me.

We used to go throughout our neighborhood, hit the neighborhood across a major road from us. Then we'd head over to my cousin's neighborhood and go there as well. We pretty well made a full night of it.

Neighborhood shopping overtook neighborhood Trick to Treat around the 70's and the bussing stuff. Back in DaVille my favorite places to trick or treat were RubberTown, Okalona, Shivley , and some of those old hoods up near the LCC.

Amazing how many of those old Shivley Gals wound up teaching in the Louisville system. Still have a soft spot in my heart for the grannies still alive from that part of town. One of them scored Big Time and married into tip top of the horse business.

Think of me a the "Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come" in the Halloween version of "Scrooge"

You may still have time this year

#1 Identify some of the worst hoods in your area
#2 Decorate your trunk (hatchbacks and vans work best, sedans, not so food)
#3 Take some of your Pokemon swag loot and buy heavy from a discount place near you (volume pricing here helps)
#4 Load up the lads and participate in a few

You are not getting to Heaven if you can not open your heart here on Earth, Good advice to you, and good example to set for your boys.
