No, and there won't be for some time, knowing our state govt and how efficiently it gets around to doing things. The most recent medical marijuana bill sets a loose framework for state licensed growers that can make CBD oils from weed, but nothing smokeable or ingestible. I don't think those growers have been determined yet, but I know the LSU ag center applied to be one of them. The problem, I believe, is that there is no framework for who distributes/sells the oils. I'm not even sure if healthcare providers figure into the current law.

So it's legal for medicinal use, but not legal to grow, sell, or buy for medicinal use? I trust fetal alcohol Governor to fix this problem tomorrow morning

They had a sign in thr raw shop that said the same thing and I hated it because it made stoners look bad.

likely not
go to colorado, get what you want/need and bring it home. yes its a small risk but if you truly are in need, you do what you have to do (i did)

I'm about at that point. Living in chronic pain just sucks. It'll sap every bit of energy and life out if you let it...may have to visit my nephew in Colo.Springs! I just need some connection.
LA legislature isn't likely to fast track or even consider med. weed in a rational way...People are suffering; do something for god's sake!!
Sorry-this isn't a pity party, just frustration.

Legalize it. Tax it, regulate it just like alcohol/cigarettes. I guess this is much to sensible for our politicians-the jackasses.

I think you are taking this a little too seriously.

THC saved my wife's life
get in your car and drive to Colorado
go to a dispensary and get a vape pen and a dozen grams of oil
it'll be about 50 bucks a gram and each will last you at least a month
also get a couple of boxes of the transdermal patches
the oils come in a sealed syringe and are small, almost odorless and easy to stash. I brought some home on the plane but I don't recommend you do that
it's patently ridiculous that we have to break the law but when the law is keeping you from relief you do what you have to do

4:20 is for teenagers. I'll get high whenever I damn well please.
And at least Louisiana changed their laws. I think anything under 2.5 pounds is a misdemeanor, though I'm sure with 2 pounds, they'd try to get you for distribution. And it's good that New Orleans decriminalized it. It's a small step, but a step.

A great example of government not working FOR the people. Marijuana laws deserve zero respect, and juries should be smart enough at this point to never convict for marijuana. This is why I scoff at the notion that "you just obey the law bc it is the law."
Louisiana, along with many other states, is too backwards and stupid to simply do as Colorado. While Colorado makes millions in revenue, Louisiana is in financial crisis. If Louisiana legalized now, it'd reap incredible revenues from being the only player in the region.

They really don't give a shite. I didn't realize I had loose nugs in my carry on until I got on the plane. I know they saw it on the bag X-ray.

Couldn't agree more. Hope your wife continues in better health. Looks like I'll be getting up to ColoSprgs. soon! And bonus; get to see my nephew & family.

LSU hasn't started growing it yet. Plus the state still has to pick the few pharmacies that will have the non-flower product. 2018 if you are lucky plus you need to have one of the few diseases allowed in the bill. Cancer, HIV, etc
