If you never go to the dr why dont you opt for an HSA plan? Youll end up paying alot less and the money rolls over. Hell we even have an HSA plan for my family.

Realistically, I am only paying for health insurance for a catastrophic disease or accident, yet because of my income, etc. they have continually raised my premiums where I am paying an astronomical amount to not go to the doctor. It is a broken system that has to be fixed.

That is the quote the guy just gave me off the phone with BCBS. Said the base plan had no premium and the Premium plan was $39 extra which allowed for copay options down the stretch. All in all, he may have misspoken.

Damn, guess I won't mention my plan is $98/mo single, $1500 MM Deduction, $1500 Rx then 80% reimbursement until you hit $3k then 100% reimbursement. $25 copay on office visits.

Covers "dental", which is a joke, just 2 annual cleanings, and vision, which pays $200 towards a pair of sunglasses each year since I have good vision...Although I actually could use some reading glasses.

I think those with hearing disabilities should be ranked somewhere up there since it is the largest disability group that is denied coverage of basic needs. Most insurances do not cover hearing aids and claim it to be a "cosmetic device." Those that do cover it only offer a minimal amount towards the purchase of hearing aids, which can cost upwards of $6000 and usually need to be replaced every 3 to 5 years. If lost, damaged, broken or stolen they have to replaced at full cost. Some insurances do at least cover hearing aids for children. Pretty shameful IMO.
