Are Radar Detectors Trashy?

I'm leaning yes in general, but I just saw a Cadillac crossover with one and I feel like if you drive a Caddy and put a radar detector in it you're definitely trashy.

As much as wish this was true, Waze has fricked me over a couple times. My radar detector got stolen out of my truck and I miss it every day

I don't really speed, more than anything mine has kept me from getting a ticket for 51 in a 50 in shithole towns like Golden Meadow. If that makes me trashy then I guess it's the cross I must bear.
