There is too much useless information floating around now. The ignorant fill themselves with stuff like Kardashians, Dr. Oz, Kanye, etc.
I was talking with a dental hygienist last week. (Granted, probably not the career that comes to mind first when it comes to intelligence, but still...) She didn't know an eclipse was on the way, didn't know it was harmful to look at the sun and had never heard of melanoma. But I bet she knew all the names of the Kardashians.

I'm thinking to myself; wtf, is this serious...? People are actually concerned about this, as if someone's dog knows about the eclipse and it's going to stare at the sun...
Animals don't act normal at all during eclipses and start freaking the frick out when the day goes dark. They may not look up to the sun, but they know something is very off. I think it's a bit of a concern.
