They're very clever. They, along with other cephalopods (Squid, Cuttlefish) have the largest brains of all invertebrates.

If they had longer lifespans and the ability to pass down knowledge they'd be very formidable specimens on this planet.

You made me learnt something, I never realized their lifespans were so short. Even, the giant pacific species don’t live very long in a protected environment, 3-5 years top.
