Are NIL athletes expected to tip lower-paid athletic staff?

Serious question. Now that college sport's has multi-million dollar teenagers is it reasonable that support staff should get tips? That would be saying "thanks" in a meaningful way.

Have you seen the complexion of most NIL athletes?
And you ask if they are gonna tip?

We're going to start seeing tip shaming of athletes after they transfer schools.

Tip culture is out of control nowadays with every job thinking they should be getting tips.
If the athletic department can afford to pay $10-15M a year to a head coach, plus another $5-10M a year in buyout money to his predecessor, then the athletic department can afford to make sure that the other athletic department employees are compensated fairly.

I’m sure many are giving them more than the tip.

Short answer is No. If an athlete gives a staff member money or expensive gifts, it could be interpreted as a reciprocal agreement for special treatment. This violates NCAA "extra benefits" rules and can jeopardize both the athlete's eligibility and the staff member's job.

Maybe, but let’s all be honest with each other… black people are not much of tippers so good luck.

Tip? Lol
Heck, they don't even have to pay state income taxes.
