I don't think the government handling loans is inherently a bad idea.

There are plenty of people who become successful and pay them off.

The people who never pay their loans would not magically start paying them if it was given via a private bank.

Now that said. If private banks could give lower rates than the feds and maintain a similar repayment program (including selective delays for things like professional school) then I think they should control the student loans.

Healthcare is tricky. It is true that US is a leader in healthcare treatment. However, most the western 1st world has created a system of low cost or free healtcare. Yes, the waits can be absurd. But if you have more money, you can always get faster service in the states.

While we are innovators, lets be pragmatic. Does everyone need the top of line health procedures for injuries and ailments that are standardized for most hospitals. There is no reason for the level of bureaucracy for common medicines or procedures other than greed

Universal price models should be established based on a global system where we compete in a free market with nations like Canada.

We should have a reasonably priced free market with a caveat option for those with pre existing conditions (PE). These PE vendors will focus specifically on patients who have no other options.
