Simple AF, but it's satisfying to kids and not overpowering. You can drop the carrots, add more potatoes, etc. Different than Indian curries. Golden Curry brand, medium hot. Bring your reading glasses, the instructions are tiny.

I follow this recipe to make it.

Wild to watch them try to cook though.

They got two burner settings: High and Off.

Gen X wife who can’t cook eggs, let alone anything else not out of a box without very specific directions, and don’t ask her to season anything. Apparently, a tbsp of salt is three grains. My mother tried but couldn’t cook either, so I learned from my grandmother when I could.

I’m trying to teach my kids to cook…there’s some interest/hope, but it’s still a process and usually just weekends. Getting home late from work really makes it hard during the week for them—just easier not to cook.

We determined very quickly in our relationship that my wife is not a cook. I love to cook, and so do both of my daughters.

I think it’s a combination of not knowing how to cook and being too busy to cook.

The Doordash concept is disgusting, just because a convenience is available, doesn't mean its a good idea to use it. Put down the goddam video game controller, go to a grocery store, get healthy food, take it home, cook and eat.
Did that effort kill your lazy arse??

Some of it is simply not being able to follow a process with multiple variables.

People that struggle with putting together Ikea furniture also can't cook.

It's simply too much for them and their brains don't work that way.

I don't care about that. I do like a clean house though.

I do most of the cooking in my house because I enjoy it.

And I'm better at it

I’m doing the cooking now because my wife can’t anymore, MS. She was a great cook, she’s giving me great guidance so I don’t burn the water.

I cook every day but I am a member of the older generation. I was raised to cook meals for my family every day. I do know some women who don't cook but most of them are younger.

True, I had salmon ready to go last night. Got home and was not in the mood at all! Went and had a happy hour beer and a Philly cheese steak instead of cooking at home!

It seems like less and less women are cooking, especially in the Millennial and Gen Z generations.

Mostly true, but not just the women either. More stratified too, the remaining few that do cook think they are either the next contestant on Beat Bobby Flay or follow recipes they find on Facebook that involves tossing various pre-packaged crap together.
