No. And that is what makes the difference between successful ones and ones who are not. Some of my bosses may not be the best pure lawyers, but they are great businessmen. I have a family member who started a medical practice and it took significant financial backing and time to get his thing going. You can be a great lawyer or physician, but if you don't know how to obtain and run a business, it doesn't matter.

Col. Sanders beat up his client and started selling chicken for a living. Just let that sink in for a minute.

You are the only salesman at a company you own?
My definition & your definition are different

I didnt always own my own company. I've sold many different things. The reason Im so good though is my listening skills. I work quickly after they tell me what they want, present the estimate, and ask for the sale.

Yeah,,,,flooring salesmen are always regarded as the upper echelon of the sales hierarchy.

You’re even lying to yourself, you’d probably make a good lawyer

If you don't believe in yourself, your client wont either. I have a track record though. Experience matters more in the sales game.

Flooring is the only product you don't have to manufacture or install. Other people do it for you. You just change money.
Its a numbers game. Very interesting when you are able to charge for other peoples product and services. Then make money off if it with a pen and paper.

The greatest salesmen will sell fear or hope.
Lawyers regularly get to do both depending upon what seat in the courtroom the potential client would be.
It is like shooting fish in a barrel.

lots of lawyers are, and those are typically you're most successful lawyers (financially)

the only super successful lawyers i know who are not great at selling got established in a firm and became known for being amazing lawyers that way and get brought in on big cases or are selling points for the attorneys in the firm who can sell
even in your civil defense firms, you have to have the partners who can get (and more importantly, keep) business
