Are getting real christmas trees trashy?

I mean unless you live like in Colorado or Utah and go out in your back yard and cut one down, it seems like a very trashy thing to do. I guess most people have crappy houses and don't mind getting pine needles everywhere

They make the entire house smell fresh. Also, it shows you are an ot baller and have the disposable income for such things and don't recycle the same one from target every year.
