Are corporations too extreme in hiring outside of US?

Our company just did a reorg and my boss is now from India coming over to the US to supervise. Its pretty crappy for morale and culture since he has nothing in common with us. Is this the new corporate norm?

Is it though? Communication is pretty key and there is a clear lack between the employees and the manager.

If it wasn't then I doubt they would do it.

Hiring in the US for tech companies just means a sponsoring a shite load of H1B visas.

Those people can't renegotiate their salary after a few years of experience without fear of losing their sponsorship like the guy born in Louisiana or Mississippi could.

You mean as in personal interests? Its a business, not some type of romantic relationship.

Usually it's you that is replaced, not the bosses.

Feel lucky.

Well quit sucking so hard that they have to go halfway around the world to find you a boss.

Lazy Americans are to blame. Habib studies math like a mofricker and gets the gig.

That's not the smell you should be worried about.

Our small business unit is outsourced through India and they are pretty damn good at what they do

Probably the exception though and have seen the other side at previous employer
