How are they underrated? Cat people are some of the most obnoxious people when it comes to making excuse for their pets, especially outdoor cat people.

They are pretty appropriately rated. Lots of people love them.

I agree one should help the kitten. However I will swerve off the road to run over a dead cat.

Lmao you obviously never owned a good cat

OR the cat saw right through your attitudes,

The first time my late MIL met my cat, my cat hissed at her and retreated under my favorite chair. The cat accepted my FIL on that trip without any hesitation. That cat liked most everyone else.

The cat never accepted my MIL, long after knowing her made me wonder at the existence of true evil.

Dog “parents” are equally as bad. Please show me where I said they weren’t.

We have a couple cats in the neighborhood who keep coming to our house. shite in my yard and walk on my car. How the frick do I get that to stop when we don't know who owns them? I bought one of those flashing light beeping things that works on solar but then it ends up bothering us from the beep so it gets turned off for a while until a new pile of shite turns up...

I could always take or leave cats but about 12 years ago I had a bag of dry cat food I had used part of to make yellowtail chum with and, having moved back to North Georgia where yellowtail are surprisingly rare I decided to feed it to a stray cat that kept coming around the house. One feeding and that fricker took to me like I was his long lost savior....I spent the rest of that evening with that damned cat winding his self in and out of my legs and anytime I sat down he was in my lap. After about 3 days of this the damned thing was in the house and until he disappeared about 3 months ago he was about as good a pet as you could ask for. We have another one now and he is also a great pet...I am no firmly on the pro cat side of things. I will always prefer a dog because its a dog but cats are great pets.

Trap them and bring them to animal control

At least dog people don't feed/water stray cats attracting an entire heard of those unwatned animals.

I use to live next door, and across the street from people that kept cat food and water out in their carport to feed the 10-15 stray cats that they collected over the years.. We were able to trap a few of them and relocated them to the woods way out of town.

Doesn't a leash law include cats? Should be illegal to keep stray cats around that other neighbors don't want to deal with. Like cat prints on my truck and cat shite in my yard.

The pleasing aroma is part of the attraction....you get nose blind to it and folks don't overstay their welcome.

Cats being earthly representatives of satan is also party of their allure...they are fascinating assholes. They are ALWAYS on the lookout for something to kill and the shite they do to facilitate their murderous ways is fricking fascinating. I have watched ours catch bats out of the night sky. Pretty frequently. Thats a damned predator right there and living with that sort of killing machine is pretty damned interesting....

One cat is great.

Two cats is ok.

Three+ cats you might need psychiatric evaluation.

Their litter box is fricking nasty and your house stinks.

That is a bonus. The residents, the people you have to tolerate, also called your family by some, become nose blind to the stench....but visitors? Hell no...they only stay as long as necessary....and that is the biggest reason to have a cat about the place. I beg folks to come over and stay awhile and they always have something they gotta do...so I get the credit for asking without having to have their asses around the house acting like people and driving me fricking nuts.

I don't need a cat to like me. I like myself enough that I do not need outside entities liking me. They are stupid, outside of killing they are inept at everything they do. They are trainable though...shoot one with a spray bottle once and all you got to do is pick the damn bottle up the rest of the cats life and it will leave like it suddenly remembered it had business elsewhere....while a dog needs to be sprayed with the same bottle several times a day.

That’s an awesome looking cat. I checked prices on those and they are expensive as hell!

I will never understand folks buying a cat. They are everywhere and for the price of a sack of generic dry cat food they will pretend like you are the personification of god on earth until they get moved in good and their contract with satan is discovered.....

what do you cat owners expect that let your pet roam and shite at other people’s property.

Hell you couldn't beat our cat and make it go outside LOL. We had one disappear a few months ago because it ran out of the house when my fathers nurse came in the front door and, being a cat, thought the strange person was there to kill eeyrbody so it made good his escape....that was the first time that fricker had been outside in about 12 years....

This plus a self cleaning litter box you only have to change out every few weeks makes cat ownership pretty easy.

We aren’t talking about smelly arse clay litter boxes you had to scoop every day like it’s 1987 anymore.

Had a twenty pound Main Coon that passed about 3 years ago.

Old baw was 21 years old.

One of the coolest pets I’ve ever had.

He would play fetch.

Got me a deranged orange cat. Plays fetch, too. Answers phones (knocks it off the wall), opens cabinets and sometimes closes himself into them. First month in the house he leaped from an upstairs rail onto a light fixture about eight feet out and looked like "Okay, how do I get back over to safety?"

It's not an adventure I was anticipating but he's an entertainer.

I never imagined so many OT cat lovers… geez…

I don’t “hate” them. Snakes with fur. They make me sneeze. But I can appreciate some folks who like them. I’ve known really quality people who prefer cats.

I don’t ever intend to get one, but I’d get a Siamese. Her name will be Suzy.
