I wish I had the dedication and discipline to chisel my physique. I'm in good shape but not shredded like a body builder. If I were to become like that I wouldn't wear basketball jerseys, own a pit or big rims, tan in a bed, or get any tribal tats though.

Most bodybuilders I know check all of these boxes.
Then you must just live in a really trashy area in general. I know bodybuilders who don't check any of those boxes.
You should post a pic so we can all see just how "non trashy" you are

OP What gym do you go to? My gym is mostly older middle class people just trying to stay healthy.

I was always kinda a workout but body fat still not at shredded level. I told myself I would go as hard as I could for 8 weeks and eat as clean as possible and if I didn’t have single digit body fat I would just workout for health going forward. Well the results were great. I recommend writing a workout schedule and have a meal plan that is consistent ever week for a time period(same thing for breakfast, lunch, supper, and snacks). Make sure it’s proper protein and carbs. It will suck doing it for 8 weeks but results will show

Hard working, nice, and trashy aren’t mutually exclusive.
You can be all three

Its trashy to stay fit nowadays
As long as you don't work out just to walk around an office

I don’t. And the gym I go to isn’t one of the 24hr chain places. Good gym.

So does anyone with truck nuts or anyone that thinks they are a cool accessory.

You forgot about the obnoxious amount of flexing selfies posted to social media.

I would vote for people who criticize others on message boards first.....but I digress

Bodybuilders are a dumb and trashy group of folks, but the “trashiest?” Not even close. That doesn’t even necessarily apply to all bodybuilders. Just certain segments.
They’re also a surprisingly dedicated and disciplined group of people.

When I think of trashy people right off the bat I think of the large trashy women who brawl in supermarkets and such.

I’ve never understood the concept. Clothes don’t fit right, they look worse than the average human, and even if they’re not....look like the biggest weirdo douches in a public setting.

Narcissism is rarely a constructive trait. So yeah, bodybuilders are kind of the flamingos of the human world . Fit people, on the other hand, would probably be less trashy I would guess. It’s a matter of taking it from a healthy desire to reach your potential to a totally creepy desire to focus on your external self and receive affirmation for it.

Also, FWIW, there is nothing healthy about bodybuilding.
