Approx 900 politicians welcoming back LLWS team

Most of these clowns couldn't spell "LLWS" a week ago, but this is the popular news item, and news crews are there. So all manner of politicians are there to welcome the kids home.
I know everyone is excited, but it reeks of pandering in the campaign season, when they all feel the need to be on tv giving a speech in front of the cameras.

I mean, anybody watching the LLWS has essentially hopped on a bandwagon. Unless you drive to the leagues and watch these guys in a District tourney, your first glimpse of the team is in a state tournament. The more they win, the more the public knows.
The MSB wasn’t promoting these guys back in June.

Difference being that people jumping on or supporting them are largely doing it because they want the kids to feel special. The politicians are doing it because they want to be seen as special and use the kids to benefit themselves. Big difference.
