The very second people started buying the Iphone X for full price we were all doomed. The market has clearly shown they are willing to pay over $1k for a phone. All brands will be at that price shortly.

I'm not saying I'd pay that (although I have an iphone X), but most people use their phones way more than a personal laptop these days.
I have my work laptop my job gives me and the rest of my internetting is done on my phone. I rarely touch the macbook at our house.
Phones aren't just phones anymore. They are personal PCs that never leave an area within your immediate grasp. It makes sense to me that the tops ones are comparable in price to laptops.

They still can’t do what laptops can though. Doing actual work with office products for example is a nightmare on a phone or even tablet. I have to use my laptop for a lot just because I get annoyed easily.

I mean, the phone is basically a computer as sophisticated as laptops were only a few years ago. The only thing missing is a physical keyboard, but in return you can connect to the internet just about wherever you go.

The phone is pretty sweet though. It’s definitely a game changer.
