I grew up poor and can say Christmas sucked most years because Santa didn't bring me much while he brought friends really cool toys.

a gift is only a gift if it costs the giver something, be that money, time, effort, etc. anyone who sacrifices to give you a gift should be appreciated, and anyone who receives a gift should understand how to be grateful for that and know that magical shite doesn't come from imaginary sources. treat santa as the game it is, and teach your children to be grateful to those who gift them time, effort and material possessions.

This where I am now. My son now wants a game system and I ain't letting the jolly fat man get credit.

The cantankerous fat man (me) is claiming credit this time.

my dad told me about “Santa” when I was around six years old. I think most developed kids figure it out by themselves by age 6 or 7.

What frustrates me and leads me to be cynical is that a lot of people in society want to be triggered by some imagined unjustice.

You can’t say merry Christmas bc someone gets offended. A lot of people just want attention and want to play the victim card. So tired of being judge mental of society but the shite is getting old. Politics in every fricking aspect of life. Geez
