As in they do not think in sentences or have a voice narrating their life. It must be amazing to not have shite constantly playing in your head.

By inner monologue, we mean that we can have private speech that's addressed to ourselves and that is carried out without any articulation or sound," said Hélène Lœvenbruck, a senior neurolinguistics researcher and head of the language team in the Psychology and NeuroCognition Laboratory at CNRS, the national French research institute.

These people must be great listeners. He hardest part of listening is not thinking about what to say next.

I have an "inner monologue," and no filter, so I often get myself in trouble for speaking my mind.. It's really bad, especially these days.

Ray Hudson narrates my life. Oldmanbeasley would be lost without him.

Maybe no physical sound, but I can "hear" it, and it's my voice. Or do I have it's voice?

Are they saying "inner monologue" is distinct from "internal dialog"?

It's worse when there isn't one or none, but two, three, four or more inner monologues competing for attention and even arguing at times.

I am not sure what you are asking. People who do not have inner monologue just take in experiences and process the response. They don't talk it through.

That, plus you have a vagina monologue.

In all seriousness, I thought most people have some kind of inner monologue. Some struggle to keep it "inner" and share it with everyone and end up looking like a donkey.

My wife speaks 4 languages and did not learn English until 17 years ago. I asked her if her inner voice used Javanese (the language she grew up on) or English and she said English since it is her primary language now.

Just thought it was interesting.

Sheesh……I have told several people I doubt I would have many friends if they knew the thoughts going through my head. I am almost positive I would be divorced if my wife knew what goes on in there on a daily basis…….
