Apparently Homeless are asymtomatic to COVID

So, apparently an outbreak in Boston homeless shelter prompted massive testing.
Of 146 positive all were asymtomatic.
CNN spins as a negative thing.
Shitty tests?
Different strains?

Or.....is the baseline condition of a normal homeless person: the conditions which a normal person exhibits when infected?

The term homeless for anyone under 50 is BS.
They are either mentally ill, bums, grifters, addicts or a combination of the above. If society wants to call them “voluntarily homeless” I’m fine with that too. These people need to be in therapy, shelter, or in jail depending on how they identify.
There are massive layoffs and people will be missing mortgage payments and getting kicked from their rentals will be legit “homeless.”
They are either mentally ill, bums, grifters, addicts or a combination of the above. If society wants to call them “voluntarily homeless” I’m fine with that too. These people need to be in therapy, shelter, or in jail depending on how they identify.

It says right in your linked article that everyone was screened before being allowed in. That's pretty much as clear cut a case of selection bias as you can get. Why is it surprising that only asymptomatic cases were found when people with symptoms weren't allowed inside?

That's crazy high.
Sleeping in close quarters, not exactly the most hygienic people.
I would expect higher than average infection rates among the homeless, and I would really expect a very high rate of cases to be asymptomatic inside a shelter that screens for symptoms. Actually right around 100%, I would guess.

Maybe because they turned away anyone symptomatic?
Curious how many become symptomatic if they continue to track them. Shelter tested en masse at first sign of an outbreak. Perhaps it spread quick in packed quarters with poor hygiene population but they tested before onset of symptoms during early incubation period.

99% are asymptomatic. Which again is why this is ridiculous.

Hitting the homeless shelters hard here too. Almost 50% of those tested at the biggest shelter here were positive for the virus.

That’s what is going on here. Either false positives from a different corona or previous corona exposure has built up immunity (same theory why kids aren’t getting hit hard).

There is a theory that antibodies for other coronaviruses prevent or limit Covid 19 symptoms.
That is why kids are more likely to be asymptomatic. Could be true for homeless also.
I would like to know if school teachers are showing less symptoms.
