$500+ minimum.

I haven't had a car note in about 10yrs. About to bite the bullet and spend some bucks on a nice new ride. I can afford a $500+ car note, but just not quite comfortable with the idea of a $500+ car note for 4-5yrs yet.

Then either go for a cheaper car or save up more money. Being car poor is ridiculous especially since you lose money on the investment. I love the ones that get a Mercedes, have a huge note, and can't afford the oil change.

I have a $550 month lease on my wife's car. Just because she wants some fancy new shite every 2 years. My vehicles are paid for.

I don't have a big car note because I am not poor. I buy all of my vehicles with cash.

My roommate's car note is $850 a month and it's a Toyota.

He actually has a good interest rate. Just got a loaded out car and was upside down on his note on the last one.

Why would you put a dime down with what what is essentially free financing? If you have forty grand cash to plunk into a car and good credit to match, put that into the market and in a year you'll be able to pay the interest of the life of the loan.

Plus, your credit scores will rise. Not financing at these rates is the option for someone with undesirable credit profiles and cash.

850 a month

I could probably afford that but I got better things to spend my money on. I will stay with my mini SUV and call it a day. Highest I am willing to go is 500.00 a month on a car. As they say different strokes for different folks.
