From Easter to Memorial day I'm pretty much sock free.
During the winter months, I wear different colors and patterns that match my shirt or tie. Some of them are loud, some subtle. Rarely do I wear socks that match my pants or shoes and rarely are they solid. I'm also < 30.

Nah... it's that we have more important shite to get done rather than worry about crazy outfits.
Sure it may be fine in some work environments, but in most cases those types of people don't move up the ladder.

I wear all black scrubs to work, like every other RN at my hospital. A colorful long sleeved shirt under my scrub top or colorful socks is my way to jazz up the all black.
ETA: technically since I’m in an office setting I could wear business casual street clothes....but why do that when you’ve been given permission to wear scrubs instead?

The only acceptable crazy socks are those purchased for charitable reasons and they shouldn't be worn but on rare occasions.
