I have sold to both CarMax and Carvana.

Couldn't be simpler.

Carvana takes a lot less time though.

Carvana... Did it all online they spent 5 min looking at the vehicle and handed me a check.

CarMax... Took about 2 hours at the store cause they were super busy that day. But at the time they offered way more than anyone else.

Carmax you bring it in they do a thorough inspection and give you an offer takes a 30-45min to get offer and another 30min to process paperwork and you walk out with a check

Sold my wife's Highlander tonight to Carmax. They offered more than 2 Toyota dealers and another used car place. Easy process, we were out in an hour. Granted, we had all the info they needed up front.

Would be a bit surprised if it doesn't exist in large cities.

I did the online quote for Carmax and it came in way under the KBB value.

I’ve sold two to Carmax. Both times they came in higher than any of the online shops or local dealerships. Didn’t want to deal with the crazies selling to a private party. Carmax was extremely easy.

I would do Carvana and CarMax online to get a comparison. CarMax will adjust their offer in person once they have a chance to actually see the car. Could adjust depending on the physical viewing of the car (used to work at CarMax).

Sold one to Carmax last week. The good thing is the offer is good for a week. We took it in on Thursday and the inspection took about 35 minutes. But there was a long wait for the paperwork so we left and brought it back at 10 the next day when they opened and we’re first in line. Still took around an hour for them to do the paperwork and give us the check but overall not that bad. It was in line with KBB and honestly trying to sell it ourselves to make maybe $600-800 more on it wasn’t worth listing it. I’ve also done trade ins there and bought a half dozen vehicles from them. The whole process is just easy.

I used carvana 3 weeks ago to sell my wife’s van. It was awesome. I got 600 less using them but I did the deal from my pool…literally. Told the guy through ring to come around to the back, signed the papers, he test drove and loaded it and left the check on the patio table. I highly recommend.

Carmigo is another option. You list your car and it goes to auction with dealerships. If it sells for your asking price you pay $250. If it doesn't you owe nothing.
