Anyone that can't drink warm beer probably prefers Rose

IPAs and stout type beers, I don't want them 32 degrees frosty cold. Of course, I'm drinking the heavy stouts in the winter time.
Yeungling type beer in the summer time, I sure as hell don't want warm. It might get warm in the can while drinking, but want it to at least start off nice and cold.

Give me a cellar temperature Guinness any day

my body probably would have reacted the same.
I got a beer and a shot. The beer had been on ice and I just expected the vodka to have been there with it.

It was awful.

The German way.
My stepdad was an Army brat and finished HS in Germany. He rarely drinks anymore, but when he does, it is always dark and warm/room temp beer.
He had a job delivering kegs when he was living in Germany. So he was always hanging out at the pubs or beer halls and developed a taste for the way the Germans drank.

Warm beer better than no beer

Visit Germany and get a good beer with the yeast still in it. It'll change your life.

The average cellar in the UK/ROI is probably 55 degrees or less even in the summer.

My local micro-brewery didn't seem to understand the concept of "heavy beers" being a winter-only thing.

My grandfather was born in 1886,he always drank room temp beer.He kept it in a cabinet in the kitchen. That was the way he learned to drink it because refrigeration wasn’t a thing in his life until after WW2 with the rural electrification program.
Me ,I like it the colder the better.

I was such a bad alcoholic I accidentally drank beer that had cigarette butts in it more than once. Room temp beer was the norm.
I'd drink about 6-8 quarts of beer a day. If I wasn't at work I had a beer in my hand.
4 years ago I made a deal with my wife. I'd give up drinking if she got rid of youtwitface. Best deal I ever made.

Ehh...I don't mind a 10% ABV coffee stout to help cure a hangover, even during the summer.

Screw that.
There is nothing enjoyable about warm beer.
There is something magical about a super cold, crisp, 1st sip of a beer. It is this magic feeling that lifts the weight off your shoulders and allows for quite a big breath of fresh air

Friend of mine grandpa would hide a six pack of beer behind his house because his wife was against drinking. I asked him why he drinks it warm? He says it gives him more of a kick.

I don't know where this myth came from but Germans do not habitually drink warm beer. At worse it is "cellar" temperature which is around 50 degrees (the temperature of a cellar that is not climate controlled). This is only common at festivals though, if it is a bar or someone's home the beer will be refrigerated and pretty close to 32 degrees. I had always thought Germans drank beer warm but they don't do it by choice, its served nearly as cold as we drink it in the US.
Room temperature Guiness is common in Ireland and it is very good at room temperature.
