You let your wife let the dog and kid sleep in your bed?
What’s next you let her bang the black neighbor?
Be a man and put a stop to all that nonsense

Sleeping with women is only fun when you're dating.
Once married, it just becomes a huge pain having someone else in the bed with you.
Case in point. I woke up in the middle of the night so I'm OTing from bed eating a snack. Couldnt do this with someone sleeping next to me.

I hope the dog is like a pomeranian or some toy dog that dictates floortile's bed.

I do it all the time. My wife doesn't care, she will go right back to sleep and give zero fricks.

My wife has back issues. There are bad nights where she’s in some moderate to severe pain where she will sleep in the recliner in the living room. I’ve fallen asleep in the living room numerous times.
My kids only sleep in my bed when I’m working nights or we know the wife isn’t sleeping in the bed.
Dog prefers to sleep on the floor. He has long hair and it’s too hot for him at times. He also doesn’t like to sleep in the bed when two people are in it. That and I kick him out of the bed because he’s a big goofy bastard. If I’m working nights and I’m sleeping all morning, he’s allowed to sleep on the foot of my bed and away from me.

What’s the question? You’ve said the way it is.

I love my dog,but no way he sleeps in my bed.

Lol. Married 19 years. Sleeping with someone is vastly overrated unless you have a bed big enough to get away from them at some point in the night.
If I had a sleep number bed in another room, I’d be in it every night and the wife would be on her own.

you need to get your wife onboard with the kid and dog NOT sleeping in the bed, or there will be major issues down the road.
Respectfully, you don’t know what this guy and his family need.

Right on bay.
Growing up my grandparents slept in different rooms except when I got older and needed to sleep on something other than a 60s sleeper couch. They sucked it up and slept together. (#GreatestGeneration) I had a surgery last week and my wife & I ended up sleeping in different rooms for a few nights. Both times she was pregnant we never slept in different beds (except at the hospital.) We had a poodle and my oldest son always slept in his crib so I had a different experience heading into kid #2. I can count 1 night where my oldest ended up pushing me to his bed.
Everyone's situation is different but if sleeping separately for a short time makes things less stressful for her, that's the right way to go. We've lived together for 19 years and my wife has always went to bed a few hours before me. At times that causes issues when she gets a bug up her arse about how I should be on her time schedule. Get used to it and learn how to weather those storms...you've got a good 12 years until it turns into the two of you vs pubescent kids.

My exact situation minus the dog. My couch is very comfy.

I sleep better on the couch than I do with the ole lady. If there is no chance of sex I accidentally fall asleep on the couch while reading.

Yall young bucks have no idea how right this man is. When a married man wants some, being in the same bed is convenient. Any other time, it's extremely overrated.

I've done it before when I had a cold and was hacking my guts up. No reason for me to keep my wife awake with that.
