Oddly enough Swensens has 300 locations still open, but most are in Asia.

Not sure why they couldn't make it in the US.

I used to work at the Swensens in the Northshore square mall in Slidell. It was my first part time job in high school. I always came home smelling like a waffle cone.

Remember the one in Jackson, MS. I'm sure I'm part of the reason they were loud n chaotic. PSA, dont get gummi bears on your ice cream...they turn into jaw breakers

There is an old Dairy Queen over there maybe in Henderson ? That has the old flat top griddle and makes the best hamburgers. Not in Longview but close. New London maybe I just can’t remember.

Heck yes. Used to go to the one on Severn across from Lakeside Mall all the time as a kid.

This was the one I went to. I don't remember them having burgers. Just great sandwiches and a killer cheese soup. And ice cream of course, including the Earthquake (which I would get if I made straight A's)

As a kid, I thought it was the only Swenson's in existence, so I was really amazed when I saw this:
