I had a cousin publish a book, after 10 years of research, that like 6 people bought. To be fair, he gave away at least a dozen signed copies.

Dude I work with swears Buddy Holley was his first cousin. His last name is Holley, but I truly think he's just a pathological liar and Buddy Holley is the only famous person who shares his last name.
In grade school, my best friend's mom's best friend'S niece was the girl who played Nicole on My Two Dad's. Can't remember her name. She showed up at their big New Year's Eve party and me and my best friend thought she was hot
She was kind of full of herself though.

I'm related to Levon Helm. My grandfather and him were first cousins. Not sure where that puts our relationship. 4th or 5th?

I actually had a cousin do the same. He was the country music editor for Billboard and now is a writer for CMT. Wrote a book about Garth Brooks back in the early 90's.

One more I thought of, although tragically famous.
My wife's cousin was an All American at Virginia Tech and roomed with Frank Beamer while in college. He died in the Marshall University airlines crash that killed the entire team and staff.
