I just went back and listened to it and it was very creepy. That guy sounds like a normal office dork that definitely has anger issues and is sociopathic. Very creepy to think about the potential of someone like that being in your 'circle' and you having no idea.

Philly or Jersey

Some people say that about New Orleans accents.

I've always heard that and some claim that it stems from Irish immigrants from a century ago.

Personally, I don't really think his accent sounds like he's from New Orleans. Maybe, but my vote is no. That dude is originally from the New England area.

I don’t buy it.

Accent doesn’t even remotely sound from South Louisiana, the clues he gave on the crimes could easily have been confirmed, no one else followed up on this or gave it any additional press, and if they all were post intercourse homicides, I am confident DNA would have cleared one of the TWELVE.

The smell test. This one doesn’t pass it.

I’m originally from NOLA - I went to Disney world years ago and had a hard time trying to convince a family from New Jersey I wasn’t from the northeast (NJ or NYC) and I’m 75% Irish and my ancestors came in through the port of NOLA

Is this serial killer guy Russell Ellwood??

I guess in 1997 nobody knew how to write down a phone number, log a call or reverse the phone number. This is just strange. I know they had caller ID because we had it at home in 1996.

no, he said he was 16...howard thought he said that she was 16, but the guy corrected him and said he didn't know how old she (the victim) was.

Well, that makes me wonder if it’s Ellwood - the fbi supposedly contacted stern within a few days and Ellwood was arrested about six months later

ETA: I’m saying this in case it’s actually true, but it’s probably BS.

Especially one from someone who may have lived somewhere else but lived in NOLA for long enough to pick up ‘whea y’at?’

I wonder if he's called Clay by his people he knows. Clay is usually short for Clarence, who knows?.
