If I need my car in the other end driving. If not may drive. Depends on who goes and flights.

I would always drive a 6 hour drive to keep from flying. Actually, I drive anything under 8 hours.

Driving.

I love to drive, and I'm in control, and having fun.

If I can leave at 5am and get to where I’m going by midnight, I’m driving. 100% of the time. That’s one of the reasons I spent all that money on a nice truck.

We seem to drive mostly on the 12 hour and less road trips.

I loved flying till 911. After that air travel lost all its appeal. Treated like cattle, packed in a small space next to someone who is probably fat, smelly or worse. Zero control of your time. All that goes away with driving, p lus I enjoy it.

6 hours is an easy drive.
I make a 6-8 hour drive as much as 12x per year.
With a family of five, I’d drive 10 hours.

More than that, I’d fly or driving would be part of the trip ie seeing national parks.

I left my vehicle in Midland and started flying back and forth to Houston just to avoid that drive.

I once drove non-stop from Kendall Drive in South Miami to Lafayette, LA. I must have been insane.

ETA: By non-stop, I mean not stopping for the night at a hotel.

10 hours is about the driving limit for me

Same here. back when I was about 33 I did a straight nineteen and a half hour drive. It broke me from any more long distance driving. Now at 72 an eight hour drive is pretty damn taxing on my old bones.

Depends on if the flight is direct and how long is the drive.

6 hours vs direct flight - I am driving.
8 hours vs flight with a layover - I am driving.

I’ve upped my drive radius to 6 hours. Flying sucks any longer.

I love road trips. I only fly if I have to.

Anytime I leave I have to fly or float. No roads out of here.

How about 600 miles

Drive or fly?

From Raleigh to Tuscaloosa its 600 miles

No flight into Tuscaloosa

Few into Birmingham

1000 of flights to Atlanta...

Its tough route...

600 miles of driving is all day...

That would depend on the schedule. If I have time, I'll gladly avoid airports.

Flying is fun, airports suck.

6hrs is an easy drive. Longer than 10 gets a little long but I just find an audiobook or two and enjoy. Location matters too. Driving across the plains or Texas is a chore, but driving through mountain ranges is fun
