I don't cuss. Never have. There are words around it. And I'm too mature to use them

I cussed like a sailor but decided it was incompatible with living a Truly Christian life. It is much more difficult to quit than to avoid starting almost anything.

I've worked in the oilfield my whole career, much of it spent offshore. It is so ingrained in the language that it makes it even more difficult. It is doable, just try your best, and forgive yourself when you relapse and move forward from there.

I quit about 20 years ago or so. I still struggle at times, often on here , but it is not nearly as hard now as when I originally started down this path. Traffic still gives me as much trouble as any

If I stopped cussing my wife would probably get my family over for an intervention.

This.

It could (potentially) cost me now if I did plus it sets a bad example at my workplace.

I never have around my kids. They don’t around me.

it is very hard, its gotten so common place and the norm that i find it unnoticeable im even doing it even when im aware i shouldnt but then i hear the words i just said and feel embarrassed even thought the kids or whoever probably talks worse then i do.

It's as hard for me to stop cussing as the use of punctuation is for Keakar.

Limiting your vocabulary by not saying words that have been arbitrarily decided to be "bad" is trashier.

I curse a lot at work, I try not to around the wife and kids.

I think it’s great when people can avoid it all together, but it drives me crazy when they use goofy alternative words.

I had to get on an inspector once who was trying to stop, guy was running around hollering FIDDLE D STICKS!! all day. Finally I told him to either start cursing again or just say nothing because I couldn’t take any more of that shite.

I don’t around kids, my parents, and grandparents and try not to around most elders. Other than that, I go through spurts where I do alright and times when I’m profane as hell.

ETA: I’m pretty bad on here.

TD isn’t real life?

I go through spells. My worst spell seems to come around the same time as LSU football.
