I know a girl who is supposedly pretty far up there, Lexus Circle or something.

She's a really good person, but the RF stuff is obnoxious. Who cares if you get to go to Cannes and stuff if it's 100% around your involvement in an MLM? Her and her friends are basically little cultists, it's the entirety of their lives.

It's odd to brag about what you make, but they need more people so that's what they do

I have a teacher friend who claims to be doing well with it, but she's alienated some colleagues with the turn and switch from free samples to ungodly expensive product bundles.

I told her no from the beginning. Spending nearly $400 was a non-starter, especially for stuff that Mary Kay sells much cheaper.

My wife, who has a full-time and well-paying job, did this as a side hustle for about a year. She achieved some people under her. Since June of 2014, she gave it up (because it's borderline trashy). Still, to this day, she makes $300-450 a month for doing absolutely nothing because she signed up 3 other girls -- 2 of whom still work.

It was a gig you needed to get in on early. In 2018, if anyone is thinking about this, you may want to go back to school...if that's affordable.

My wife's "mentour" made it to Level 5 and got a cruise and a Lexus. If you are good with bugging the hell out of people, you will do well...and I mean BUG. Wife has a great job and great security and this was just a venture. that she halfway regrets..not bad for 375 free dollars. Also, I won't be ashamed to lie. R&F products are actually very good.

But this stuff has run its course; people who are in start-up mode (and have parties at their houses for sampling with their friends) are not gonna make money. This is the same formula as Amway (Confederated products in "Go!").

Yep.
Gorgeous friend making the dough. I get 10-20 social media post a week from her. She’s doing alright.

I may buy something one day for a gift.

There are people making a lot of money as R&D consultants. It is not Mary Kay or Avon quality stuff. It is high end skin care similar to Lancôme products. There is a huge market for these products. The ones who push through the first year or two do well. Most quit due to insecurity and being afraid of what people think. The ones who don't give a flip what others think make good money. Some can earn 10k+ a month in their 3rd or 4th year. Some make WAY more than that.

And yes, my wife started doing it as a second source of income 5 months ago. She is going through the same issues that all new consultants do. She earned $425 her first month and did a tad more the next 3 months. Earned $850 last month. Her biggest issue is fear of rejection and being judged. I encourage her by noting that none of these people really give a shite about her anyway except her few closest friends. Some are actually wishing against any success. People are funny when it comes to someone they know making an effort to improve their financial position in a non traditional way. I told her some will actually root against her. And I told her not to give a flip because those people don't matter anyway. Their opinion doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is the two of us and our 4 kids. If she can persevere and get to $10k a month in 4 years and be free to quit her mundane but well paying 9-5 job, the reward of that will have been worth it.

And I am a sales executive in the Atlanta area. Since I am in Midtown Atlanta a whole lot, I am planning to become a consultant myself and market the men skincare products to the gay men community. Days I don't have a lunch scheduled, I will sit my arse at a predominately gay restaurant patio and eat lunch with the gays and sell the shite out of some R&F skincare to waiters and customers. LOL but this is an untapped segment and I will retire off of this shite.
