Honestly, no. I wasn't aware he was already convicted. I haven't followed closely other than the couple of things I read in the news right after it happened. I was going on the discussion in the board here, where people are discussing his defense and asking if there was a chance he could be acquitted. Whitey is F'd!

I’ve been semi-following this since it happened. Didn’t know the guy personally but some of my friends did and I heard many anecdotes about the guy being a severely angry drunk. Always breaking shite and getting into fights. It was sooner or later something like this would happen. Lesson learned, if you can’t hold your liquor don’t drink.

I do. Had a class with him at BRCC and LSU. Worked a group project with him and was cordial with him when I would see him around town. Had roommates who knew him better.

It was one year ago today that Garrett was sentenced to thirty years. Does anyone know how he is doing in there? I can’t imagine having to serve that long of a sentence. There has to be someone that in here that knows him or his family.
