Anyone Know/Knew Someone With Multiple Personalities?

First, can someone really have more than one personality? I am talking about someone who is one person one minute then the next they are someone completely different to the point their mannerisms change, etc.

My grandma was schizophrenic and was committed to a mental institution. She showed signs of multiple personalities. I only met her once though, and I was like 4 and barely remember meeting her.

Yeah, I think the "schizo" multiple personality thing is rare. But, bipolar or manic depressive, trust me -- I know it's real.

I know a chick that claims to have 8 personalities. She has Redrum tattooed across her lower back too.
