How are we supposed to have a US Navy without a fresh supply of Filipinos?

Little bit of trivia about the war Americans and Filipinos fought together.
Former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, vilified by our leftist media, was a Bataan Death March survivor. He was right there with American, British, and Filipino prisoners.

It was America's first Vietnam "why the frick are we even here" War. Been drinking in that kool-aid since to justify Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Grenada, Iraq, Iraq II, Iraq III, Syria, Libya, etc.

Reason the US military eventually adopted the M1911 .45 caliber pistol
from Wiki:
American units fighting Moro guerrillas during the Philippine–American War using the then-standard Colt M1892 revolver, .38 Long Colt, found it to be unsuitable for the rigors of jungle warfare, particularly in terms of stopping power, as the Moros had high battle morale and often used drugs to inhibit the sensation of pain.[15] The U.S. Army briefly reverted to using the M1873 single-action revolver in .45 Colt caliber, which had been standard during the late 19th century; the heavier bullet was found to be more effective against charging tribesmen.[16] The problems prompted the Chief of Ordnance, General William Crozier, to authorize further testing for a new service pistol

yep. we took it from.spain.
filipinos said, "weve had enough of being a colony.
300 years is enough."
in the ensuing war
2,000 american soldiers died so we could have bases there.
in 1956 spanish no longer official language.
after ww2 english official language.
the phillipines is 1,300 miles from northern luzon to davao on mindinao.
many islands have own language.
its 800 miles from chicago to new orleans.
fun fact: all those phillipine islands languages are in same language family as hawaiian, maori, and two on madagascar.

Read about Captain Leonard Furlong. They should make a movie about him.

The natives revolted against Spain, but their leader was captured by the Spanish. He struck a deal to go into exile in exchange for cash money. While in exile in Hong Kong, he meets up with American navy and strikes up a deal.
Basically, we backed the Filipinos in their revolution against Spain, striking a deal that they would get independence so long as they let us take Manilla rather than besiege the Spanish holed up there.
The U.S. made a treaty with Spain to take the Philippines as a condition to end the Spanish American War. U.S. Forces took Manilla, we refused to recognize Filipino Independence, and the natives started fighting us.
After 3 more years of fighting, the Americans captured the leader again, and he signed a treaty recognizing American sovereignty with an agreement that the Philippines would get independence years later. This agreement was interrupted by WWII, but independence was finally granted in 1946.
Over the course of the 10 years worth of fighting the Spanish and Americans, up to one million (1/9 of the population) died of famine, war, or disease.

If you’re white and go to the Philippines they will flock to you. Just wrap it up and tell them you aren’t bringing them back to America after the deed is done.
