Yup.

I'm going to find the coolest spot in a room during the Summer and the most comfortable spot to sleep at night. It's in my DNA.

If theres a house and furniture to lay on in walking distance, I'm not laying on the ground.

I think of primitive camping as a hike in scenario.

Checking in.

I don’t have a high clearance trailer, rather a little guy 5 wide teardrop camper. If my truck can make it, so can the teardrop. I admit that I have gotten into some uncomfortable spots before though.

This is on clear creek at the base of Mt Oxford and Mt Belford.

I almost bought a restored late 50's Canned Ham a few weeks ago. Looked similar to that one.

Serious question, what does the tent being raised on a trailer accomplish that a regular tent doesn't?

I dont understand what the trailer is for. Why not just have the tent on the ground and buy a nice self-inflatable sleeping pad. Since you have your truck there you can bring nice pillows and all kinds of other stuff.

The best place to get one is here: XGRID CAMPERS

I met the guy who owns this company in Las Vegas.

It’s great. Fits in the garage and I don’t have to carry insurance because it’s so light, so it effectively costs nothing outside of original investment.

When plugged into power I can run a/c and heat, so we use it at campgrounds from time to time also. It’s nothing but a camper queen bed inside with a couple cabinets.

That sounds like camping. I’ve camped. But not with a tent way up on top of a trailer.

Why do you need a trailer for a tent?

I’m not but the bros over at GXOR are really into it. Check out some Facebook groups. There are a ton of them and the only thing they like more than talking about it is going to car shows and setting up their tents and shite. Weird group but I can appreciate the effort they put into it.

I’ve been thinking about getting a rooftop tent for my jeep.

I’ve been holding off to see how the new Broncos are though, because I would ultimately want a 4 door (my jeep is 2 door).

Figured I’d garner responses about the roof top tent and pulling a trailer.

We went with a RTT as the wife prefers to be off the ground and the tent comes with a memory foam mattress which is comfortable to her. She could not sleep comfortably on air inflated mattresses.

The trailer can go anywhere the truck goes. If we want to set up a base camp and do more serious trail rides we can. Or drop the trailer and drive into town without having to pack up.

I'll back the jeep out and you can pop that thing up in my living room, baw. Bring the wife, but leave her boyfriend at home.
