Never had the surgery, but I have been penetrated twice. Once by appointment, the other not so much.

There was a lot of preparation Involved before and after

I would ignore the problem til it went away.

How old is he? Could be something other than hemorrhoids

In all seriousness, tell him to go to a doctor immediately. Could be hemorrhoids, could be something else.
I had to get checked out twice. Not a fun feeling but it is what it is.
If in Baton Rouge, I highly recommend Dr. Benton Oubre.

I knew a guy that waited, and kept it to himself.
He ded.

He's positive it's hemmys. He has had them off and on and he lifts heavy weights which brought on the latest case.. .When I used to lift heavy in my 20s I had a few cases of blood in the bowl but it went away when I stopped doing leg presses. For some reason that leg press always ended in misery. Squats and deads caused no probs.

Wife had it after the kids. Excruciating recovery. Pain meds stop you up a when you go it kills the incision. Eat more fiber.

Exactly. I lost a friend at the age of 35 to colon cancer. Better to be safe than sorry.
An office visit will give him peace of mind. It should be the first phone call he makes tomorrow morning, even if he thinks it is just hemorrhoids.

Well he already saw a doctor. It's hemmies. The decision is to have the surgery or not

Did he look ill, or just all of a sudden die from colon cancer?

If surgery is an option, I would elect to have surgery.
