Just got a job offer in Denver that I am going to accept. Was wondering if anyone here is familiar with the area and could give me some insight on cost of living, things to do in the city, traffic, etc. TIA

Not from there, but my job just asked me if I would move there next year. Houses seem super expensive

My old company was based there so j use to go 4-5 times a year for 8 years.

Cool city. Great scenery obviously. Only negative was to get to the hiking and ski areas it's a massive pain in the arse on weekends and in busy season. Can be hours just to get 40-50 miles.

They have great bars and some cool restaurants. I would move there, although I don't like cold weather.

I'm not from denver but looked into moving to the area a while back as well

Cost of living is pretty high in the city itself from what i gathered but that can be said about any major metro area at this point. You can find something more affordable in one of the suburbs

anyone have any idea on the cost of living in Colorado Springs? I'm also looking into buying a house there and commuting. The hour drive doesn't scare me.

Housing in and around Denver are elevating in prices. They even have bidding with a lot of homes going over list price..

Great place to live.

What to do is a loaded question. There is a lot to do short of going to the beach.

Enjoy your new home in Colorado.

I moved here a couple years ago. The real estate market is out of control. As mentioned earlier, check the suburbs to the south and west of downtown for better prices. Hiking in and around golden isn't too bad to avoid the massive traffic jams towards the mountains. Overall, I absolutely love it here.

though not absolutely substantial, I am getting a raise. And an opportunity to live somewhere that fits my interests more.

I can't imagine it would be more expensive than what I'm paying for now.

The Springs is pretty reasonable. It's starring to pick up around here because Denver is picking up so much. People are heading this way and it's starting to climb up. Now is a good time to get in before it syk rockets. I love Colorado Springs and don't plan on moving for a very long time. Best decision we ever made. Good luck to you.
