Or a motivational book? Movie? Speech? I’m not talking about being motivated for an hour or a day, but something truly life-changing.

Yes. This book changed the way i manage people and my outlook on my general work life. I'm not sure if its "motivational".

Skip Bertman spoke at one of our meetings and he was truly inspirational. Jim Hawthorne is also pretty good at the game. Les Miles less so than the guys above.

No. A few years ago my company brought in some sports psychologist. Dude rambled on for 2 hours about a pole vaulter in college or something.

I sat in awe and wondered how much this fricker was getting paid.

For about 5 minutes following the presentation, and then that feeling goes away

When his Italian franchise was at its peak, Louis Deangelo came and spoke to building for the company I worked for at the time and spoke to our management team. That guy is a ball of energy and pretty inspirational.

Reason I’m asking, my son’s high school football coach brought a motivational speaker in to speak to them yesterday. It wasn’t cheap. I’ve had coaches and employers do the same and I never got anything out of it. Just wondering if I am in the majority or not. Seems like a racket

This speech is one of my favorites.

It is the University of Texas at Austin 2014 Commencement Address by Admiral William H. McRaven

Went to Skip’s camps as a kid for 5 years in a row. Really inspirational. Still remember things he said to this day. “Represent your Maker, your family, your school, in that order”

Heard DiNardo speak in Amite, he was good.

Read Drew Brees’ book. Dude is awesome.

I've always said I'm too dumb to quit, so no, I don't need a motivational speaker.

Set your goals, and don't stop until they're met. If you don't have enough backbone to do it yourself, you're a weak person, and deserve to fail
