Anyone here against legalizing marijuana?

If you are against it, why? Seems like more and more people are ok with it being legalized.
I don’t smoke but smoking is probably safer than drinking alcohol so I don’t see why it’s not legal.

I think you should be able to grow it your back yard if you want. I don't want it taxed or regulated either. Because freedom and shite.

I think it would pass a vote. Our politicians are the ones that need to modernize. That or they haven't figured out how to line their pockets yet. Either way, Louisiana will keep raising taxes because they are broke, while they could bring in LM and sports betting to help

I really just don’t care about it. The people who act like weed is one of the biggest issues in the world annoy me greatly so I don’t care if it’s illegal

I support legalization but i also support being it treated like alcohol. I am perfectly fine with cities and counties deciding not to have retail sales. I also think edibles should be regulated.

Colorado and Oregon have started doing some studies and compiling stats.
Auto fatalities and accidents for instance are on the rise in both states.

You actually trigger a good point.
Potheads wear there potdom on their sleeves and they treat it like it's some sorta important social cause or whatever.
First off, i've never known a pothead that really had his shite together all that well and secondly, they all treat pot the same alcoholic wine drinkers treat wine.
They talk about "hints" of this and that in the weed, it's "mellowness" and "type" of high you get. They even give it cutesy names.
Yeah these frickers are annoying for sure and this comes from a guy who once smoke pounds of pot.

My only real issue is that we do a horrible job of controlling drugs that are already legal. Alcohol, barbiturates, opioids, tobacco all create huge issues when it comes to healthcare, mental health, and rehabilitation.
However, I’m not against legalization.

Weed is so much safer than alcohol, it's a joke that it's illegal. The government did a fine job of brainwashing people and making it appear sinister. This comes from a non smoker by the way.

This would be ideal, but the only incentive the government has to make it legal is taxing it.
I think it is completely insane that it is illegal in most states considering other things that are legal to sell. There is no legit justifiable reason for it to be illegal.

Also, I think that it being illegal cost tax payers more money that if it were legal.. Considering all the people who are in jail because of marijuana.

I’m against it. Would go into detail but realize a lot of people don’t care how bad it actually is. Just realize a lot of health care people in Colorado actually wish it never became legal because their jobs just became harder according to my family who are doctors and nurses in colorado
