I live in Bucktown and for New Years Eve it is like a war zone/DisneyLand and I am not joking. There is a guy that shoots off a bomb for every Saints touchdown. The guy who lives behind me said he spends about 3 grand on fireworks.

Causeway and I-10? I live about 10-12 blocks from there and it sounded like it was across the street. My dog was freaking out.

Yes, I live near Rummel, neighbor down the street was shooting fireworks... I'm talking about the big loud canister type, that are loud, not visual... JPs showed up and put an end to it... 
When I heard the first one go off, I thought one of my kids dropped something heavy upstairs..
Surprisingly, they didn't confiscate his fireworks...
