Would be pointless. If it is going to spread it would have already spread. Like I've been saying... the case #'s will skyrocket once testing begins but it doesn't prove shite other than many more have already recovered and the mortality rate gets lower. Therefore invalidating this whole last week of nonsense.

Yep, state 24/7 shutdowns with all businesses, including hospitals and grocery stores closed. All roads locked down with roaming packs of National Guard told you shoot anyone on sight, no questions asked.

Electricity and water will be cut off at midnight. Internet and cable will stay running (Hope you have a generator) solely so every idiot on social media and in the media can spread more asinine rumors and fear.

You know that there are some idiots that would actually believe that.

There were many rumblings and rumors just before the announcements of closures that there'd be a lockdown. Likely that the rumor stems from that. Seems like most people are complying now and a full lockdown is pretty unnecessary.

I don’t think a state can close its self off to interstate commerce from the highway system unilaterally. They can close all state highways but not the interstate system without help from the feds.

Very much this. Now that the 'public gathering' restrictions are in place, most people seem to be taking things seriously and complying. An extreme quarantine is not necessary at this point. While I heard about the potential closing of bars and restaurants a few days in advance, I've heard nothing from my 'sauces' about anything like the total shutdowns we are seeing in San Francisco. The population density is not the same in the greater New Orleans area.

If anything certain comes out of this it’s that some love to spread rumors and some are gullible enough to believe any damn thing they read, see or hear.

Anyone bringing up hearing about a statewide quarantine from "sauces" needs the banhammer.

Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

The shut down in SF is really just in name only. You can go to parks, grocery stores, and an extensive list of other “essential” places. Family and friends that live there have said it’s not different than what is going on anywhere else.

They’d have to leave the roads open, if anything, just for the re-supply trains/trucks.
