I'm fortunate to have a decent gig, but a regret of mine was not doing engineering in undergrad... had some friends that did it though and I have a lot of respect for those that get through it. Don't have any advice but hang in there.

I've done all the homework, haven't missed but maybe 1 or 2 sign ins for his class, see the TA, don't speak up in class though. I went see him today but he is an intimidating dude. I basically need a 58 to pass but I haven't gotten that on any of the exams yet so that's why I'm worried. Yeah I'm a dumb frick or whatever I just had core classes that I needed to put more time into this semester so kinda put this class on the back burner.

You've got to be more active with the class.
This is coming from a guy who bombed a 4000 level ME class and had to go to school an extra year for it.
Buckle down. It's too late to beg for forgiveness. A 58 is absolutely doable. You basically have a week to learn everything, so quit posting on TD and get to it.
Trust me man. I'm not trying to be a dick. I've been there and made a very costly mistake. You've got to give it all you've got right now or you'll get burned.

I thought that class was awesome. Easy, long problems that basically checked themselves. I think curved it a bit though, and I didn't do enough problems to make an A.

Nah you aren't being a dick at all. I appreciate your advice. I have space for it next fall if worst comes to worst, but would really rather not retake it lol

Lulz engineering classes. Try taking a few organic chemistrys
Posted on 12/1/15 at 10:05 pm to Merica
I had him. He was tough. You had to know your stuff to pass. Also no curve.
Posted on 12/1/15 at 10:05 pm to Lionnation1993
I took organic and it was a much easier than my current engineering classes.

I dated a girl who was getting a PhD in organic chemistry and I basically did her research for her. Shits easier than cooking.

No curve you are boned. Maybe you can ask Volod if he can put in a good word for you at Southern's engineering school and transfer there.

Yea, you wont. I just found it really interesting for whatever reason, so it made learning it easy. Probably warning signs that I shouldve switched my major to ME. But whatever, now im doing something thats boring as f

Get after it. Front-loading those classes is essential.
I was in your situation with fluids. Passed by one point. If you're scared at this point you're going to need a little luck and a lot of dedication. Get it done.

I'm failing Thermo 2 right now, and debating whether or not to out any effort into studying for the final or not. I have no idea what my actual grade is other than a strong F. Probably talk to him tomorrow about saying frick it or not.
Memorizing all of these fricking T-s diagrams and shite is killing me. My memory sucks.
I am working on a combined air-propane problem right now that I've got to get 11 T, p, and h values, efficiencies for both cycles and the whole cycle, Wout of each cycle, Qin, and E out. Gotta optimize Rp and Qin/out, and figure out what medium to do that with.
I just remembered this sucks. Should've stuck with pro bowling

Historically he hasn't curved. Say your prayers and bring the lube. The first sign that I knew I was in trouble was when he reminded the class there was no curve when the class average was around a 40 on the first exam.
That dude is evil and gives no fricks about failing everyone.

Easy. Ok, not easy but you can work it. It's a big puzzle, just got to put it together.

All I have to work with is efficiencies of individual components, two temps, and one pressure. I'm gonna have to write a bunch of formulas in excel to optimize the damn thing, and then write a paper. shite sucks, and it's probably gonna take 10-15 hours when it's all said and done

Oh, I didn't say it doesn't suck.

(All together now)
That's a lot of Wong numbers.

Just ask him if he's going to curve. What's the worst that could happen?
Posted on 12/2/15 at 12:21 am to siliconvalleytiger
It goes like this
OP: Do you curve?
Wong: Yes, I curve dis.
OP: Dis?
Wong: Dis Dick curves (and proceeds to whip it out and slap op across the face).
