I had a dude stand up when being questioned if he could remain fair and loudly proclaim, "yeah he looks guilty!" in his work shirt with company logo and name tag. Brass balls on that fella but he was released immediately.

I’ll tell you one simple fact - voter registration and your voting presence in real time completely dictates the amount of summons you will receive for jury duty.
Pro Ex:
I’ve never voted, although I registered for selective service at 18.
I’ve never been mailed one single thing about jury duty.
30 years now.
Good stuff.

As an American who loves my country, I would never skip jury duty. It’s our civic duty to participate in the legal system and people who try to skirt that responsibility obviously don’t care about our society or this country.

I got pulled for federal jury duty in Nola awhile back. I started a thread here on how to get out of it and got my head bitten off. But I did go after putting it off and having them give extensions. Thankfully I didn’t even get called to go upstairs.

Have you been before? Bc once I didn’t receive it and the day bf I was due to show, I got a txt msg saying I didn’t need to appear. 1st time that’s ever happened. They had my info from previous jury duties. So, you may not be able to not show if they have your info and txt you.

We don't have a duty to be forced into government servitude. This is an absolute pussy bitch mindset and the fact that you're jerking off bending the knee to the government's whims says a lot about your weakness.

I went once during my working days in Dallas. Sat thru being questioned about some kind of theft trial. When they asked me about ever being involved in a theft as victim or suspect, I told them about getting mugged at a train station. Needless to say, they didn't pick me.
Had to go here in Ruston and was questioned about hospital stays. A lady, whose uncle died was suing our local hospital. His doctors told him not to get up, but he did, and fell and bumped his head, and died. I think she thought the doctors should have restrained him or sedated him. Didn't get picked for that one either.

They usually send so many of those mail outs at the same time, kind of picture a big net if you will, still most people don’t show and they end up dismissing many good citizens that show up cause they have enough good citizens that showed up even earlier.
The key is if you do go, show up 5 minutes late. So they can’t arrest you for not going, and eventually send you home because they had enough people to choose from.
Easy Peasy. You will get another letter for jury duty in a couple years.
Life goes on and on and on

Ummm you may want to revisit your history lessons because those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it. The right to be judged by a jury of your peers is what keeps us free from tyranny! There is a reason our founding fathers put this into the Bill of Rights!

Do your friends think it is cool you hate America so much? Do you spend your time killing bald eagles?

If you don’t at the very least call and straighten it out promptly, the judge will issue a bench warrant for your arrest. Don’t play with this. He still may, so don’t miss it, but if you do, get it right.

Will be almost as amusing as seeing a sovereign citizen spout their BS in court.

And hence why I have said we should have professional jurors, who know the law and is their job. Wasting time at the courthouse for 6 hours, only to be dismissed (not excused) is a waste of time & money.

I used to not mind serving when called but I got stuck on some Mexican guy and a fat white woman fighting in the yard over a chicken. Right then and there I knew I wasn’t going to have my time wasted again and I get if it every time now. If you want me for a real case then call me but don’t waste my time on bs.

I didn’t show up once. I already had a trip and flights planned and wasn’t going to run into them telling me I wasn’t excused. It wasn’t sent by certified mail.
Anyway…they sent me another one about 6 months later. So I showed up to that one. Released by lunchtime.

I have gone every single time I've been summoned. I sat on the jury for a murder trial two years ago.
Just think about it. If you are every on trial, do you want the jury box filled with people that don't care and have nothing better to do, or people who are intelligent and care about carrying out their service with as much professionalism as possible?
I was really impressed with the quality of juror on the murder trial I sat on.

The base issue is the 6th. 7th, 14th and 15th ammendements. That is a lot to overcome.
I would like it mainly for complex civil litigation. The glaze on people's eyes when I enter the 100th document into evidence is thicker than on a Krispy Kreme.

Dude you have an American flag after your name yet you're asking, will I get punished if I skip out on one of the primary tenets that makes America great! If you have a legit conflict work or personal call them and they will resend you a summons in the next couple of months. If you're asking because you don't want to fulfill your civic duty then shame on you and quit implying you're a patriot.
How about those with real jobs?
