You need to work on your phraseology, especially when you are seeking responses to a research question. That is one of the worst-worded questions I have read in eons.

I got anxiety really bad for about a year right after going hard on some adderall for like a three day binge, so yea. Oh and to top it all off I can't smoke pot anymore since then. Will give me the worst panic attack ever. Smoked with no problems for years before that

Diagnosed with GAD 20 years ago. Have taken several prescription drugs which have helped tremendously.

I have never once used any illegal drugs, including weed.

SO has it. It's awful. She wakes up in a panic a lot of mornings. Xanax provides temporary, limited relief. Every other medication she has tried either does not work or has intolerable side effects. She goes not and has not used illegal drugs, and doesn't drink.

I just drink red wine...liquid Xanax

I can tell you that I was told I had social anxiety disorder as a teen and was put on Paxil, and now as an adult I’ve been told I have OCD but who knows. I can also tell you that drinking alcohol definitely makes me calm down and open up more but NOT near as much as smoking a little weed or taking a few pharmaceuticals that aren’t necessarily prescribed for me.
