Anyone have anxiety about Christmas ?

Tomorrow is Christmas and I feel quite anxious about tomorrow. I’ll be with my mom and sister but I always feel nervous about the day.
I do work tomorrow afternoon so I kind of look forward to that.
Anyone else have anxiety about family and the day being perfect ?

I have anxiety about how much money seems to fly out of my pocket. But I enjoy the day for the most part.

I have kids. I gave up perfect a long time ago.

Yes, because for some reason we are stuck hosting the last couple of years and all it does is make my wife a raging lunatic about everything being perfect.
Starting to dislike Christmas.

I typically have anxiety about not being home. We visit one family Christmas Eve and the other on Christmas Day.
I more have anxiety about when our kids are married and we have grandkids (don’t see it being that long) — I want to be at my home not elsewhere. Issue is Christmas is my mother in laws birthday and she pretty much expects us to always and forever be there THAT DAY.

That makes sense. Usually Christmas is at my moms house but this year we are traveling to Mandeville. Money can be an issue at the end of the year when insurance deductibles start over in January.

My in laws are obnoxious and I’m anxious that they won’t die soon enough for me to enjoy their money

Are you female?
My wife gets all worked up over the shite, and wants everything perfect. I just ask her why in the hell she does any of it. We can just cook some steaks, for all I care.
She tries to imply that she does it for me.

I have anxiety trying to make sure my kid gets what he wants.
One present was Airpods, every Walmart, Frys, Target, Best Buy close to us was sold out and Amazon couldn't guarantee delivery by Christmas.
I drove 27 miles each was to find them

I get anxious anytime my money is spent on crap that my wife, kids and I don't need.

It seems like relatives keep asking me for money. I like to help but it’s all about opening gifts. My eighty year old mom is like a kid on Christmas morning. Anything we want , we can buy for ourselves. Why can’t we all chip in and have a nice Christmas dinner and do away with gifts ?
I don’t mind buying gifts for my younger cousins though.

Norbert gets it. I will also be inviting my favorite of extended family, Mr. Daniels.

Nah it’s really not that big a deal to me. The only people I buy gifts for are my parents and sister and SO. Everybody else can kick rocks. Then we get drunk at my aunts annual Xmas eve party. Never do anything Christmas Day besides watch movies and nurse a hangover

I didn't grow up with the happy family gatherings. I am actually happy I get to spend it alone but everyone makes a big deal out of it. Makes me feel like crap actually
