I didn't grow up with the happy family gatherings.

I grew hating Christmas because of the family gatherings... my mom remarried and between having to get dressed up and stay out with her family on Christmas eve, to waking up and getting right in the car to drive 3 hours to see his family I never got a second to just enjoy the day. That's why I stand firm on not doing anything outside of our house on Christmas day...if it's stressful, you're doing it wrong

Anxiety has disappeared once I decided to give only money or drift cards.

No.

No one is entitled to a perfect day- even on Christmas. You have to have a hand in making it, yourself.

Besides- the perfect day means different things to different people. Find the definition of yours and make it happen.

Yeah pretty bad this year w the anxiety. The last 3 years I’ve gone to New York and seen the in laws, but this year we’re staying home. It’ll be the first year I’m here since my parents split up 2 years ago and it’s tough to make time for everyone.

Can’t wait to have kids and make the holiday about them

Over the years I have noticed that I do have more generalized anxiety and trouble sleeping during this time of year.......but as far as the actual day, no.

I survived cancer in 2016. I was borderline Stage 4 cancer. Beginning early 2019 test showed the cancer was coming back (Doctor gave me 5 to 10 years). My wife asked the prayer ministry at my Church to pray for me. Miraculously the last two test showed no presence of cancer cells anymore......zero.....zilch.....nada!!

I never believed I deserved to have my prayer for healing answered. I never expected anything remotely close to a miracle. I had resolved to die a slow death.

I don't worry about anything now. I thank God for the sunrise in the morning and as I drift off to sleep at night I thank Him for the sunset.

I go to Church on Sunday and I do volunteer work, when I can, with the needy at my Church.

Tonight beginning at midnight I will gather with my fellow parishioners to celebrate His birth.

Each day is a gift.

Merry Christmas to all!
