I was tested in a drive thru site and called with the results so I never actually saw a doctor, now my job wants a doctor release but I can't find a doctor to write me one because they obviously weren't involved and they're somewhat overwhelmed with other Covid cases.

What the frick am I supposed to do about this?

This...the organization performing the test should be able to provide a record of the test result.

CDC says 10 days after your test you can return to work as long as symptom free for last 3 days. Print it out from cdc website to show your employer

Yep. Your work should just follow the CDC guidelines.

I have the record of the positive test, I need an actual work release though.

Get another test to prove you’re negative at the same drive thru

My wife had to but the testing site sent her results to her Dr.

Call or go by the testing site.

Me. Back in March.

Everyone was willing to erite an excuse saying I was sick. Very few were willing to test me for covid with no symptoms and declare me safe for work.

What did you do?

All the hospital did is email me a form basically saying I had symptoms and if positive, stay home for 10 days from test date.

A doctor has to order the test.

They gave me a record of the positive test.

Work basically wants a form that releases me to come back to work on a specific day signed by a doctor which seems damn near impossible to acquire right now.

Test has to be ordered by a doctor which they only do if you're symptomatic.

No. Don’t do that. Could lock you in to months long absence if you are one of those that persistently test positive because of dead RNA
