I had an abscessed tooth taken out once. I was given pain pills but it never hurt enough to take one. In fact, I don’t remember it hurting that much at all after the fact. You just have to watch what you eat (I stuck to soup) and don’t eat or drink anything excessively hot or cold for a couple of days. After that it was fine.

It hurt like a mutha before it was yanked out. Any pain afterwards was better than what it was!

This thread earned me an ad for dentists drills.
LINK
I always kinda assumed that dentists drills were the kind of thing you didn't really advertise. Dentists know where to get them.

I just felt a lot of pressure (no pain at all) when they pulled, and never had any bleeding once they put the gauze. Removed it the next day and was done.

Unless it's impacted in the in your palate then tooth pulling usually isn't bad.

Leave the gauze over the site unless it is completely saturated with blood and starts flowing into your mouth. Sounds like you are changing it too often and disrupting the clot that causes the bleeding to start all over again. You won’t stop bleeding if you keep changing the gauze.

Yeah I removed the pic due to NSFW/people realizing who I am on here.

Had my permanent canine impacted in my palate. Didn't find out about it until I was in my 20s. Still working on pulling it into place with braces.

All 4 wisdom teeth at once
Wasn’t that painful

Same here plus one molar to boot.

It was not bad at all. I think I took a total of four pain pills and was off of them completely the next day.

I had a wisdom tooth pulled and the pain wasn’t bad. I took a pill the morning after but that was the only one I needed.

Saline rinses often will help it from dry socket. Warm but not hot. Every couple of hours just use it like mouthwash. I had 4 pulled as a teenager to alleviate crowding issues for braces. Couple of days later and you’ll be fine. Take Advil if you can stand the pain instead of pain pills.

First, once the numbing shite is gone, how long before the serious pain starts?
I've had a tooth pulled that required several injections. Big pain never came once the local anesthetic wore off. There was some aching in the jaw because he really had to pull, but it wasn't something Ibuprofen didn't help.
